Almost 30 year veteran of Wall Street.
17 years spent on the American Stock Exchange floor as a specialist clerk, independent options market maker (local for you Chicagoans) and options specialist.
8 years as a partner at an upstairs options market making firm and hedge fund.
4 years as head of U.S. Institutional Options trading for one of worlds largest banks.
Retired and cranky – missing the street.
My days are spent trading for a few hours and trying not to bang my head against the wall as the algos ping pong stocks back and forth all day. Missing the human interaction of trading as well the degenerate life style that went with it. This blog will serve as an outlet for my trading ideas and any other random shit that goes through my head that I hope you will find interesting. You can find all trading related posts in the categories section under Trading on the right hand side of the screen.
My other interests include poker, gambling in general, music and observing human nature. These will be posted in the Everything Else category for those who don’t care about trading.
There will be a category coming soon for trading resources. This will include websites, other blogs I found to be helpful, books, software and anything else that will make your trading life easier and hopefully more profitable.
Please keep in mind that I’m the webmaster of this blog and half the time I have no idea if any links or anything else I do tech related is going to work properly. Be patient as I slog my way through this. I’m just an old analog guy trying to make it in a digital world.
Thanks for reading and I encourage you to comment, criticize (be gentle !) and ask questions.
